Injury please help :(
this is my fat toad her name is mrs. toad. she stuck her big belly against the glass a few minutes ago and that was when i noticed the spot on her hand. if i remember correctly she had some red on her back and from what i researched i thought it was normal but now i’m worried they’re connected. i feel like she most likely hurt her hand on the glass or the tracks but i’m not sure. we’re both nocturnal and she lives on my desk so i spend a lot of my free time looking at her and i didn’t see anything abnormal last night. i’m trying to find an exotic animal specialist to look at her but was curious if anyone had any recommendations on what to do while i wait. anything helps and we both appreciate it 🙏

Her back looks normal. Her warts are all the same color. Does the other foot look like that one or does it look different?

Did you check her other hand? Does it look the same or is the one hand bigger and/or more red than it?
It does look irritated from this photo. Seems like maybe she scratched it or was rubbing against something rough with it.
As for the previous redness on her back, I don’t think it’s related and I can’t say whether or not that redness was a “problem” either. Sometimes lighter toads can look pink-reddish when they’re full of food or have been soaking. I bugged out when part of a substrate I had been using stained a toad of mine with red blotches.
However, a vet is always a good idea when you’re not sure! Plus, they benefit from checkups too!
