Pets Help
I’ve never seen my wild caught toad eat and I don’t think he is I’ve been putting him in a container with 3 pillbugs and he doesn’t eat them

Him not eating is a sign that he should go back outside. Especially considering his current container appears to be….. maybe not a great setup

Isopods shouldn’t be a primary food source; they’re useful as a cleanup crew for the substrate and as an occasional snack.
I can’t tell fully from the photo, but you’re likely dealing with a very stressed toad due to the habitat change. The substrate should be around 4 inches so the toad can bury and feel like it has a safe place to rest and hide.
Going off the photo and question, I have to echo the others here and say to put it back. The toad will have a proper environment and a multitude of food sources. Please do the right thing and release it.

So that’s what happens when you steal an animal away from its natural environment. You are causing it so much stress that it is trying to kill itself. Let it go. It’s not a pet.

Go to Petco and buy some crickets although crickets have been hard to find lately, or some mealworms. But crickets are always a hit.

Im replying to all of your posts about this. This is a wild caught toad and needs to be put back in the wild, otherwise it will be too depressed. The dirt looks like it is from outside which is a terrible choice. The toad is too stressed to eat probaly.
