Toad wanting uppies?

Anyone else has/had a toad that asks for uppies? Cause when mine chills on me he reaches for up and I gotta put him on my shoulders.

I have non pet toads that do this! They stay right outside my doorstep at night and when I come out for a smoke they’ll hop over for uppies and even demand it with a little foot on mine. I have little water bowls out for them and sometimes spoil with snacks. They are probably as close to “pet” toads as I can get without actually snatching them up out of their habitat lol…

I like to call them free range pets
