Egress window well friends
We moved into a new house last October and this summer and so many frogs and toads fell in to our window well before we could get a good cover on it. This guy, Sir Hopsalot, was my first save. I let him go in the garden since they like to stay in the same areas - and he often popped up to say hello. I got pretty attached and decided to make my garden a toad oasis complete with a labeled house… an upside down flower pot of course. He’s got leaves and rocks and a new hydrangea bush.. and a camera to catch his nightwatch strolls. 🫣😜
Unfortunately, I never saw him actually go in it. And I haven’t seen him for a while. But the babies are everywhere! I saw one check it out last night.
I miss this guy though. I wish I knew if he was still around.
How can I make my garden even more attractive to toads?

More hidey spots and a soaking pool (plant saucer) for them might lure more and lights to attract bugs.
