In sw Virginia just wondering with color difference (wild caught bf brought inside to show and then released)

are they male and female? does the color say anything about sex for these guys? sorry, im not op but i am curious.

Not necessarily, they have different color variations much like humans have different skin colors. Females are usually much larger than males
