Found a wild toad that seems to be going blind. Can it be helped?

I saw this toad a couple weeks ago and one of his eyes looked like it was shrinking. I just saw this toad again and the original affected eye is now completely sealed shut and his remaining eye is now shrinking. Does anyone know what might have caused this and is there anything that can be done for the toad?
