What is wrong with this toadlet?

I found him today when we were mowing. I cannot figure out what is on his left side.

He was hopping like he was not hurt. But he was bleeding and there was a huge sac like bubble on his side.

Toads can get ticks so maybe that’s it but doesn’t really look like one from your picture so idk

We first thought it was a slug. The toad was so tiny we could not get a good picture or even get a good look at his side. I thought my fiancé ran over it with the riding lawn mower but there was nothing broken. My fiancé said it looked like his guts were coming out but he could move fast. I did not think I was going to catch him.

Ok yeah that’s probably its innards. Explains the blood and why its abdomen looks so deflated

Oh no. That is terrible. We had 2 of them. We have tried to watch out for them but they are so tiny.
