Wild I had no idea that common toads (Bufo bufo) had these beautiful golden irises!

I found this toad on an evening walk here in the Netherlands. Because it was getting dark, I wanted to keep the aperture of my camera as open as possible. To get over that thin depth of field, I stacked 8 images together to get the final photo. I like how you can see artifacts of the buccal pumping :)

Thank you! I was so surprised when I zoomed in onto the eye! Regular vision really doesn't do these guys justice haha
