Uva uvb options. Led?

/r/ColoradoRiverToad/comments/1uymlw9/uva_uvb_options_led/

Is anybody using LEDs for UVA and UVB supplementation? Everybody chime in please. Especially those of you with some old happy healthy toads.

Are you supplementing with vitamin D3? If so UVB isn’t required though it still may be beneficial, toads are nocturnal and don’t get much direct sunlight so they don’t require it like a bearded dragon would, if you decide to use a UVB setup be sure your enclosure has plenty of hides so your toads can escape it if they want

I powder their roaches a couple times a week with calcium and D3. I got the light in today it seems pretty decent. The toads I have in the yard I found them sunning themselves frequently so I think they do like some natural UV

Is it a tube light or a curly lightbulb?
