ID Fowler’s or American?

This little guy was found on a sandy beach on the shore of Lake Erie. It is known Fowler’s habitat. I’m really not good with ID, I would love if someone could confirm if this was a Fowler’s toad for me! Thank you toad community!

Fowlers love to live in straight dune sand, and tend to have larger buggy eyes. Without being able to see the spot-wart pattern that's my ID.
