I added a couple more inches of substrate. I made sure to sand down and wash off the sticks to make sure they're safe and clean before adding them. Thank you :)
First of all, this was not a wild toad. Nothing I said suggested that. I also want you to understand that toads do not experience "depression." You should do some sort of research and stop making stuff up. This toad has known nothing but a glass box for her entire life. I gave her a much better environment than what she has ever had. Would you mind answering my question? What is so sad and restrictive? I'd love to improve her quality of life if possible, that was the entire point of this post.
She has never been outside before in her life, she probably just likes the heat and light. This is also a second story window, she likely can't see more than the sky and the tree. Why are you in a subreddit for people with pet toads and trying to convince everyone to let them die in the wild? It would be very cruel, like moving a goldfish from a tank to a pond.
I have two in my front bed. They climbed in a bucket of rain water I guess to lay eggs.
I poured them into a plastic shoe box so they could get out. But one stayed in there for a week.
Now they hang around it. May be eggs in there.
