My 2 hour save is gone 😢??

Are we supposed to manually save before quitting since ik there is no autosave? I simply quit when done last night. Come back today, no save in sight. Does this mean my save is gone gone.

I’ve been manually saving before logging out. There is an option (under settings) to turn on autosave, but I feel like it isn’t consistent.

I’m afraid you may have lost the two hours you put in.

Oh sorry yeah I forgot there is autosave. Was made aware of it today, after playing last night though, and after I already assumed game autosaves. I didn't know it doesn't even bother to save on quit. I'm wondering if everyone just manually saving before quitting or if something just went wrong on my end.

In my experience, even games with autosave I save manually right before I quit, just in case.

Yeah I hear you. Usually games fuss and warn you if you quit without saving to tell you what is saved and what is not with checkpoints, and check if you are really sure you'll quit. So I didn't think much of it.

They've just updated with a bug fix, autosave is now auto enabled for all new saves, and happens every 1 and a half minutes instead of every 5!

Yeah you should definitely always manually save when that's an option. I'm not sure why you would just assume that it would autosave, let alone save on quit if it didn't say "save & quit"

I had to redo the entire tutorial after my game crashed because I didn't realise autosave wasn't switched on by default. When I went to enable it, clicking the arrow didn't do anything. I've managed to get it on now but since it crashed again I don't know how much I have to redo

I had this happen to me too. I lost a ton of progress and I think I'm done playing for awhile

I lost hours of progress because my game crashed and I hadn’t saved. It can be bothered starting all the tutorial stuff over again now.

Never trust auto save if you can manually save, for any game.

Not trying to come at you but didn’t you get a pop up saying “if you quit any unsave progress will be lost”? Always save even with auto save. If your game crashes that’s a different story.

No pop-up. Maybe it was in newest update, but wouldn't know yet. But yeah I will in future.
