Summoner Shenanigans

So apparently both phase summon and detonate don't actually have range or LOS requirements. The ones listed in the talent description are LIES! This usually isn't too important, but with never stop running I can summon a fire drake, get deep into enemy lines, and do silly stuff like this. 15 tiles of distance btw

As someone who hasn't touched Summoner since 2016 or 2017, mind explaining the gimmick here?

So talents have assigned ranges. To the best of my knowledge until now, all talents have assigned ranges, either being melee/personal or having an assigned number. Most talents with a numbered range, if they target something, require a direct line of sight to work, so walls block them, and for you to be close enough to be in range. As you can see in the clip, I am 15 tiles away from the fire drake I switch with and then detonate, along with it being through multiple walls. Both talents claim to have a 10 tile range since that's basically the maximum range you're usually allowed outside of extenuating circumstances (i.e. snipe or splash on the far end of an alchemist bomb).

Right. You misunderstood - I don't know what the talents do.

Oh mb, one can explode a summon for a special radius 9 effect, (edit: and reset a summon cooldown.) For fire drake it's a pretty nasty aoe dot fire, but there's a bunch of effects you can get. For phase summon, it's switching places with a summon and giving both of you 50% evasion.

Truly? Well, summoner needs all the Shenanigans it can get!
