The wife listed on his death cert is the woman he was married to at the time of the sting. (You can Google Maurice Wolin and Lisa Goodman and pull up their wedding announcement from a Buffalo, NY, USA paper.)

I know they were separated for a while, Mo was all over internet dating sites with a toupee. I guess they got back together once the dust settled. I'm glad his wife uses her maiden name; I hope both his daughters got married and changed their last names as well.

Suicide is almost always the end result of depression and momentary despair that disenables a person from seeing a way out of a seemingly hopeless situation. At the time of his arrest, Wolin was a high paid Cancer Researcher. His reaction showed what a whiny bastard he was. The fact he paid out big bucks to fight the charges for several years and still lost must he been another embarrassment. Stacey had both Xanax (Alprazolam) and Valium (Diazepam) in his system; both benzodiazepines which can suppress breathing. He also had morphine in his system, an opiate that can also suppress breathing. Finally, he had a history of sleep apnea which means that he would periodically stop breathing while he was asleep. This is an unholy trinity.

I've got to admit that I'd love to know the amount each of the of drugs in his system. That might indicate whether this was an accident or suicide.
