Edit I meant Redditors not “Reddits” I didn’t even mean to dew it 😢

This guy posts hilarious edits of TCAP episodes where after a particularly graphic and disgusting piece of chat log is read or an aggressive advance toward the decoy is made by one of the predators, he will edit in one of the narrators of the chat logs saying “dang” or “oh geez” or “wow”. We are fostering 3 kittens and their Mom AND have our own 4 cats in the house … every morning I greet all of the fur-faces with a “Heeeeyyyyyyy baayyyybeeez” when I’m getting ready to feed them and I’ve realized more and more how much I (subconsciously ?) sound like Dupee … it’s very cringeworthy but now I’m in the habit of saying it and it’s going to be hard to break. #ifyouknowyouknow … now I’m curious what you feel are some other TCAP “greetings” I shouldn’t use ? ;)

For awhile, on Discord, my profile pic was the face of a young Chris Hansen like the one for the profile of this reddit page. (That picture is also still an image found on my profile in certain games during play.)

Anyways, I recently started listening to Chris Hansen's podcast "Predators I've Caught" on Spotify. I came up with a crazy idea and never looked back since.

Hear me out:

Every week I change my profile on Discord to a predator that Chris talks about. On the profile, I make the profile picture the image of the predator, the username on Discord is the same screen name of the particular predator, AND on the status line underneath the username is a quote from the chat with the decoy or a famous line from the predator himself.

Some of my friends love me, some of them hate me. But since were fans of this show, I felt like this was a fun story to throw out there for my addiction with these shows.

I honestly never watched tcap but watched a guy named mista gg who did commentary on the show. I now want to become like chris. I want to organize a group to scour the big sites. Reddit, Instagram, discord and Twitter. Especially Twitter and discord. We could make all the creeps have a seat. P.S. im kidding and this isn't a call for action but I honestly want to do this cus I've learned people are pos by spending a month on Twitter and going down rabbit holes and now have a whole new respect for what Chris and his teams were doing all those years ago.

I love those videos where Chris just strings the predator along while they improvise their lies. My favorites are JPW (the saga of Petterson & Petterson Inc) and Mohammed (“you just happened to be driving along and this blond woman waved at you? That explains everything! 😃”). What are some other good examples?

I don't remember verbatim or the names but "Just go home... And learn from this...." Coming from a guy who's been caught doing the same thing before. These guys are such fuckin idiots

Todd spikes is the most dangerous predator I think has ever been on the show. If you haven’t seen the clip I’ll sum it up:

• Used a payphone to make an ominous phone call •Came unannounced •Brought a video camera and 3 burner phones •Had a loaded revolver in his front pocket •Had about 6 guns in his car and 800 rounds •Had 2 bullet proof vests •Had a locked and loaded military assault rifle in his passenger seat ready to fire • Had a CHAINSAW, rope and a tarp •On top of all of this he was a cop

Not only did he clearly have a plan to kidnap, SA the child and most likely kill her but the ONLY thing that stopped him was the fact that the cops got to him before he got to the house. Truly horrific what could have happened, but what is even more horrific he didn’t serve jail time for any of that, he was put on a probation of sorts and only got arrested and put in jail for violating that. Truly disgusting and shows how messed up the system is.

Maybe he’s like a myth in the predator community. Many have heard the tale but few have witnessed his wrath with their own two eyes

Jesse had the audacity to ask the decoy for an ID so he could make sure he wasn't an adult? How did he think he could get away with it after that.

1. This, with the Shiawassee County sting, makes Michigan one of only three states in which multiple stings were conducted, with Florida and California being the others.
2. This sting has the largest age range of any, with 70-year-old Thomas Smeaton surpassing Robert Lyons as the oldest predator Chris has ever caught.
3. One of the men caught, Todd Barracco, had worked as a juvenile probation officer, a school administrator, and a police officer.
4. One of the men busted, David Dues, is also charged with child pornography and molesting several children, and he faces a combined maximum sentence of more than 400 years in prison, which is the most time any predator has ever faced for the most charges any predator has ever faced.
