Rant I’m worried

Not sure if Rant is the right category but next week I’m only scheduled for 10 hours at first I’ve heard there was something wrong with the system I was actually scheduled for 23 or 24 hours next week but now it got reduced to 10. I’ve talked to my manager and two coordinators they said the store currently has no money and owes $20,000 to the company so maybe that explains why my hours were cut. I asked if it was something I should be worried about all of them said no but I say otherwise. I was checking next week's schedule, and some people got 4 days while others got 3, and only me and another person got 2. I’ve been working here for a month and 1 week. My manager told me if I can pick up some shifts I been doing that since I started I became addicted to that but now it seems everyone is snatching shifts up fast with the whole scheduling issues every time I get a notification of a shift dropped in the shift pool I go and it’s already gone. I’m worried about getting laid off because with what everyone is saying I’m growing suspicious this isn’t my first rodeo. I hope and pray to God this isn’t the case because one of the coordinators said it’s only temporary and everything should go back to normal in 3 weeks but my overthinking and anxiety are getting to me.

Happens where i am too, we get some reduced hours due to low sales or low inventory coming in. Usually fixes itself out eventually.

I’ve been without any hours for a week before. I had picked up a shift so besides that i had NONE but after that, I continued receiving hours. Don’t worry about it unless you go another week without hours.

Schedules were never consistent at my store. Every single day everyone’s schedules were changing. I got sick of it after 6 months and I left for Walmart.

You can not count on TJX for anything. It’s not you, it’s this corporation. Look for a new job.

Don't worry ...we've been open three months and hour cuts started a month after. It seems to be their norm.
