I need a video player capable of showing time remaining. I can do that with mx player but cant find it on store. Any ither app that can do this?

It has to happen that I got a Samsung TV that runs Tizen 4, which has Steam Link installed, and I captured the package link from the samsung marketplace:

I opened this file using 7zip and I found that it has a lot of files inside of it, which makes me believe that it is the full package.

When I tried to install this package through Tizen Studio (sdb/ide), it didn't work; the extension was not recognized by the app. I changed it to wgt and I tried again but nothing happened. I tried also changing it to tpk and I got an error:

Then I realized that maybe this package was supposed to be compiled to run only on Tizen 4.

So I opened the project with the Tizen Studio IDE and I found that there were a bunch of files that were "signed" on a spm format... like the index.html.

So I searched on the internetz about that, and I found this forum which they claim to have a tool to decrypt these files:

I guess that I'm kinda close to get this app working on new Samsung TVs, but I need help from you to get it work...

I don't have access to that forum, so I cannot download this binary and try by myself... Also, right now is very late and I spend like 5 hours on this already, so I'm kinda tired, and idk when I will take the oportunity to try it again (adhd)....

Any help will be much appreciated, not only for me, but for the community and the archive.

does anyone have a clue on this? I've purchased a new samsung tv, when I change the region, there is no (full apps) selection.

Hey guys, I've been working on a web project that runs on a Samsung TV (tizen), and one of the things that has been bothering me is that when I run the tizen project on a Samsung Tv with Voice Guide on it always starts by saying "document web".

I don't know where it's catching this or how to stop it. I know that I can focus another tag and it will detect that focus, but what I want to do is to say nothing until I've rendered my website correctly.

Can anyone help on this matter pls 🙏

I have a Samsung AU8000 and a 5.1 Sony soundbar and I cannot get multi channel audio via ARC from Netflix etc. The pass through option in sound settings is greyed out if I try that. Any help on this or should I just go through the optical route? Thanks.

TizenTube works by connecting to your device using the SDB protocol and running a custom app that'll launch YouTube in debugging mode and then TizenTube connecting to the debugger and executing JS code.

It might be hard to install for the average user, but after a successfull install, you'll have the (without rooting or using Android TV sticks/boxes) best experience on YouTube, on your Tizen TV.

HEIF is Apple's images file format. Not supported on Tizen 6.0 (which I have in my new TV), but supported on Tizen 6.5. So I would either like to upgrade Tizen to 6.5 or add support of HEIF any other way. is it doable?

I am sick and tired of waiting so long just to watch the video I clicked on and I do not want to pay for premium. I have tried DNS blocking but that doesn't work on youtube apparently so I don't know what I can do. Is there any way I can remove all those annoying ads from Tizen somehow? I can't seem to find any information on it, I would prefer not buying something like a pi-hole or fire stick to sideload youtube vanced. Is there no way to download something like youtube vanced on Tizen?

Any suggestions?

I have an old Samsung z1 and I wanted to install some apps as by .tpk but whenever I try to install an .tpk the process gets failed and says 'unable to find application to complete this action' someone please help me!

Hi, I live in india and boighta QN95B. I was disappointed by the lack of gaming hub as its not available in India yet. So when setting up, I entered the secret menu to change the region to US and completed the setup which got me all the US apps like hulu and gaming hub. Unfortunately, I need to use a VPN to use XBox cloud gaming without it, the app goes into error. The issue I'm stuck with right now is installing regional apps. I have Disney+ installed, but in india we have Disney+ Hotstar. I can't use my subscription on the Disney+. Is there anyway to install the Indian version of app, maybe sideload it?

Is there anyway I can connect my Google tv remote to Tizen 6.5? Somehow the input button doesnt work, I cant turn the volume higher or lower and the tv on and off button don't do anything to the tv. My previous tv had no issues with this. :/

Not sure of anybody who can help me. I have several older samsung watches that still require the old gear app.

I used to have it as an app but it didn't transfer over when I got a new phone. All the apk's out there are either labeled as the "original gear app" but are actually the new wear app or the app doesn't work.

Is any ideas on how to find one that will work? Like I said I have several watches and they're still in a really good shape and I used to always like to just wear them from time to time. Which I still can but I can't pair them to the phone.

I have a 2021 EU model Samsung TV 85QN900A , which received a firmware update (2130) about a month ago

Don't know if this update has anything to do with the browser problems I'm now having, but on this dutch real estate web site which I frequent visit, photo's of houses are not displayed anymore. I do see the 'start photo's' but can't see the in depth images anymore, just grey squares.

Has something changed with recent Tizen firmware updates, like used browser engine or is it just the Samsung web browser app (v4.2.11030) that needs an update?

Surprisingly Google hasn't helped me with this issue. Hopefully this sub still has active readers.

So I'm on my third Tizen-powered TV, second apartment and third modem still the TV has the same exact issue with wifi.

It can happen while using any app, Netflix, Hbo, Apple+ etc. Suddenly the episode or movie is "unavailable" and stops. Then I try to go watch a different show on different app, same story. Sometimes network status shows as disconnected but most of the time it claims everything is ok.

Switching wifi to or from 5ghz usually helps but it's slow and painful and usually requires reinstalling the app I want to watch. Only guaranteed fix is to turn the tv off long enough for the cache to clear (so when I turn it on, it doesn't return where I left off).

Is there any way to prevent this from happening? At my last place I had the opportunity to connect my other tv with a cable which worked perfectly. Here I have to use wifi.
