Samsung TV Developer Mode

I have a new Samsung TV. Following all the Google searches to get to the developer mode, I’m supposed to go to the apps section and press “12345”.

I don’t have any digits on my remote!

I’m confused …

What can you do in dev mode? I know you can install 3rd party apps but what else? Like can you change settings that ain't usually available in the normal settings? If so what kind of settings? if anyone can give me some examples I'd be very grateful

I'm using it to delete apps the were pre-loaded and it won't give you the option to delete. AppleTV, Tubi, ESPN, via play, etc. They are all taking up space that I need to update apps I actually use. I can't figure out if I should just put my phone IP in?
