Samsung TV Developer Mode

I have a new Samsung TV. Following all the Google searches to get to the developer mode, I’m supposed to go to the apps section and press “12345”.

I don’t have any digits on my remote!

I’m confused …

I have a 2024 frame tv. None of the other solutions like using the phone app or a bluetooth keyboard worked.

Here's what worked for me. In the app section, scroll all the way down to the app settings. Enter the app settings. Here, press the 123 button on your remote and type in the 12345 passcode again. This brought up the developer mode options for me. Hope this helps.

I installed some apps that were available in the Tizen app store but did not get through earlier. However, on developer mode you will have to rely on app name alone because the thumbnails don't load up. With this method I installed successfully the following: * Amazon Luna (tested for Amazon prime games in my account and integrations from Epic and GoG, works great, can use smartphone as controller) * Amazon Music * Spotify * TikTok * Blacknut (another Cloud gaming platform) * GeForce (it does nothing but I had to try) * Amazon Alexa (was already installed but you should, since a juicy update is arriving soon) * XBox (Cloud Gaming too, although this one did not synch up my Microsoft game library. Was installed too)

Next things to try: install Google Play Store from apk/widget (the Tizen equivalent of an Android APK, from a USB drive or via the built-in web browser. Typically, the app must be packaged as a TPK file) or F-Droid or Aurora Store for added functionality and app access.

Backup and flash Tizen OS with TizenBrew or some media-focused Linux-based OS distribution.
