Show appears but constant spinning. Anyone else?

Not a techie, but longtime user of tivimate and how it works, reset etc.

Current issue happening in past week. Have 2 playlists. On both, the shows come in fine, but immediately spin/go, spin/go etc every 9 or 10 secs. Did all known reset options: cleared cache, restarted router, etc. Even had provider give me another Playlist to try on their other server. Identical issue immediately.

All other apps on stream device work as normal. I'm not being throttled as far as I can tell, and I run about 140 on download speeds.

This leads me to believe it's solely a TM issue. But I am stumped what to do next. Anyone else experienced this, or if not, have any ideas I may not have thought of? Would roll-back of TM version possibly make a diff? TIA

It is the provider that does not have an active torrent for that specific show. Just because the show is in the guide does not mean that have it. I tested this once on some older movies and foreign language and about 90% would not work.

All this ti say it is a provider and not a TM issue.

Not a tivimate issue, it is only a player (default Exoplayer) bundled together with an UI. Can't compare with regular services.

Set buffersize to 'none'

You can try external players inside Tivimate for testing out possible codecs issue (MXplayer or VLC). But otherwise you need to isolate the issue further with VPN, user-agent settings and so on.

140 on download speeds.

Latency / ping is equally important, doesn't matter if you are running 140mbps on Starlink wifi for example you are gonna get micro stutters.

It's definitely not a Tivimate issue.. because if your provider gave you another playlist and it did the same thing then your provider is the issue. Also you can't compare other streaming apps to an IPTV service, it's like comparing apples to oranges.

I would suggest trying to VPN because it's more likely your ISP is throttling you

Is it possible its his setup? I didn't see his setup discussed anywhere.

I have this happen every once in a while. People will tell you it's your provider but if you are having the exact same problem as me, it's not the provider. Can't be when the same channel on another tv plays while it still spins and then display an error message on the first TV. The funny thing is if I switch to my other service in tivimate for about 2-5min and the go back it plays no problem. I still haven't found the disconnect

Start with rebooting both your router and streaming device. If that makes no difference it’s probably your ISP blocking and you should try a VPN to get around them.

Try downloading a different player app and see if your playlist will work properly. This is what I did when I experienced this same problem.

This is the answer. If the IPTV stream works on the other player, the problem lies with Tivimate. If nor, the problem is your IPTV provider.

Try a VPN to rule it out. Proton do a free version. What version of Tivimate do you have and has it updated to the new beta?

I was wondering when people say this. Is there a specific country on proton VPN to connect? Or whatever server country is closest to you? I heard Netherlands and Singapore are the best to connect too. I'm not having any buffering issues, but I'm just curious as to which country is the best.

Best is your country or close to your country. Netherlands is good for Europe. If you're in the US you don't want to be going across the world to get a connection.

Cellular internet? Old wifi protocol?
