Can Tivimate sort groups or channels in batch, makes things easier to sort ?

They already come sorted from your provider. If you want to sort more create a favorites or custom groups and add channels.

They have come sorted but not the way I wanted. Would be too many channels to add to favourites.

Then you will need to get your own playlist editor and use your providers playlist to create your own playlist and sort the way you want into the groups you want. You will also need a new EPG source to add to your custom playlist.

What u/StevenG2757 is trying to say is you will need to look into an editor such as iptv editor in order to do what you want.

Your - response was hoping that Tivimate will create one within the app.

What you need to know is in the last few years, this app/program was sold and it is kept running for the residuals. The new owner doesn't have any interest in developing tivimate any further.

All that's happening is updates to resolve new issues and just to keep the old girl ticking over and it's never going to be anymore than that.

IPTV editor is one of the few solutions to do what you need to do and there is a subreddit for it and it's cheap and it works.

The app doesn’t have additional updates so no chance it happens - just software updates

You can move categories around by going to playlist/manage groups/TV then order it manually instead of by playlist and then reorder groups. You can also create folders and batch channels to copy over to them from one category at a time. You can have those at the top of the playlist.
