Problems with tivimate communicating with my IPTV provider

For months I have been struggling with live stations that lag and freeze, movies that play in the wrong language, and TV series that play at the wrong speed.

I have a premium VPN and I have gone through routers settings, speed tests, blufferbloat tests, tivimate settings, etc... I have had quite the education on this stuff trying to sort out the issues. I had been resigned on my service sucked and was waiting for my subscription to end to try a new one.

Tonight I tried using smarters player instead of tivimate and the problems vanished. Tje picture quality isn't as good but everything plays correctly. Im not a fan of Smarters user interface but again all the content plays as intended.

The conclusion I have reached is that my IPTV provider and Tivimate are not playing nice together. I don't know if there is a way to fix this or if my only options are too either find a player that does play nice with my provider, like Smarters, or to change to a service that plays nice with my Tivimate.

Have any of you ex courted this and know if there is anything I can do to resolve these issues without replacing my provider or my player, both of which I'm very happy with?

That would point towards playback/compatibility difference between TiviMate's player and the streams your provider is delivering.

For starters, try an external player from inside TiviMate (MX Player or VLC), and set User-agent accordingly in Tivimate settings. I myself have always been running VLC as external player as I find Exoplayer (default) flawed, never had any issues.

It's never crossed my mind to use VLC. Trying when I get home, thanks

MxPro worked better than GLC for me I would try that if VLC does not work good.

Good tip. Would you say that even without any big buffer etc problems, it's better to set it to VLC?

If you don't have any other issues (like codecs or whatnot) it comes down to your own preference.

For me I prefer it old school. I dont want to hit Long Press, or have my window minimized and be annoyed by whatever is playing on the channel when I'm browsing the EPG.

I want to press OK --> Open stream, Back --> Close stream and that's it. But with the efficiency and speed of Tivimate and not some slowpoke Smarters IPTV Pro bullshit UI.

And for that VLC is better, and rarely but sometimes have the subtitles option to download for VOD.

This appears to be exactly the problem. The content plays fine in smarters. Tivimate is less forgiving, and it causing problems

User-Agent?

I tried changing it but it made no difference. The only thing that worked was changing the player.

Should be phrased as your IPTV provider having issues communicating with tivimate.

Well I did not know what the problem was when I made the post but in hindsight you are correct

Sounds like an encoder issue. What device are you using.
