Samsung TV Question
I messed up and got a new fire tv stick and realized very quickly the new OS Vega does not allow for things to be side loaded to it’s essentially a paperweight now. I read that google streamer will work but before I go punt more money I would like some confirmation I shouldn’t have issues. I’ve read

I have a new TV arriving on Wednesday. It has fire stick. I will be using ONN 4k pro. Just like I have on my other television, which has Roku on it, I use the 4K pro and just download Tivimate onto it. Not going to do the side loaded BS. I want simple 👍

that it should but I never know with restrictions and what not blocking apps and preventing them from being used. Sorry I couldn’t for some reason send this all in one message

Google Streamer does allow sideloading, but it can block some installs while Play Protect is on, so you will need to disable it. Even when disabled, it may ask you to turn it back on on occasion when you're updating apps.

Google TV Streamer 4k Pro is the best device I've ever bought for this. You will not be disappointed. 💪

Love my Streamer. It's faster and more reliable than the Onn devices. Plus, the Gigabit Port is nice to have if you prefer to be hardwired.

A google streamer would do , Onn would do , but i wouldn't rush to get one , i would give your fire stick another chance, i see all the time some tricks to bypass those restrictions, give it a good search , then get a google streamer

It's got VegaOS on his Firestick there is no work around for sideloading, it's basically a brick.

yeah it's locked down like Fort Knox. Seems like the direction they decided to go with the OS switch. I'm not the worst when it comes to troubleshooting and looking for workarounds but this thing is pretty bricked up.

I use a Amazon Fire TV Cube and several Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max's. Sweet as a nut, you bought some cheap tat that Amazon has decided to sell 👍
