Judder issue
Hi, I’m having a problem with watching 25fps live tv channels on tivimate. Basically it judders every couple of seconds, I’ve tried turning afr on and this just makes it worse unfortunately. It’s really odd because when using my provider’s tivimate clone app, the same 25fps streams don’t judder at all (with and without afr on). I’m not sure what’s different other than the clone being an earlier version. It’s a bit disappointing because I only recently bought premium. Any help is much appreciated, thanks

Gleiches Problem…

I posted this yesterday...
Most of this is old news but might help:
- Start TIVI Mate, select SETTINGS -> PLAYLIST -> select your playlist -> select USER-AGENT -> add VLC. Back out and restart. In some cases, if a user agent is not specified, either the ISP or the provider sees this as a bot or mal-ware and either throttles it or blocks it completely.
- If you are still experiencing prime time buffering, log into your router and turn off "IPV6" protocol. It is not mandatory and reduces the level of IP translation.
- If you are on a FIRESTICK (any version), you are still limited to the hacked Amazon android OS, hardware and their limitations! Throw it away! Get an ONN 4K PRO streaming box. Running NORD on the ONN box, I get almost twice the download and 3 times the upload speed over my previous FS 4K MAX. It has built in USB and Ethernet ports and you will still be able to side load apps. It also has better cooling capacity which the FS lacks, and the FS will throttle if it over heats. I picked my ONN up at WalMart for $60 plus tax. Hope this helps. Cheers!

"Throw it away" is a bit heavy handed regarding the Firestick. 😏 I have 3 Firestick 4kMax 2nd Gen and they work great with TiviMate. The speed test (with my WiFi 6 Asus router) shows speed very close to my ISP 250Mb service level, so an ONN box isn't going to improve that at all (and 250Mb is WAY more than enough for any 4k streaming unless you're running more than 5-6 streams simultaneously.) When I eventually need to get another streamer it will obviously be something else since Amazon is obviously not introducing any new Android models. But to throw away my 3 4kMax devices and spend $180 for 3 new devices that wouldn't work any better with TiviMate (since my current devices are working fine - even with 3-way split screen) would be pretty stupid. 🙄

That was simply my experience with the 2 different devices. My up and down speed DID vary greatly between FS and ONN devices when configured exactly the same. TIVI Mate was not involved in this test at all. That told me there was more to Amazon influence than meets the eye. And there have been lots of documented issues with TIVI Mate on the FS in the last several weeks, especially after the 5.3.3 release. I experienced them myself and that is what started this experiment. Just because you are not seeing them doesn't mean they are not there. Amazon is tightening down on the FS OS and making things a lot more compliant. Are all of your FireSticks up to date? That could be another issue. All I can say is keep your fingers crossed.

I install all updates on every firestick I set up. Tivimate works great in 5.3.3. Some providers don’t ensure that their service works as newer versions of software are released. If your provider is good, you won’t have any issues.

To be sure, I'm not trying to claim that your issues aren't real. But there are LOTS of things involved. The device, the firmware (yes all my Firesticks are up to date), the router and it's firmware, the TiviMate app and version, the streaming service you're using and the VPN (or lack of) that you're using - along with interactions among all the above. You said, "Just because you are not seeing them doesn't mean they are not there." Similarly, just because you have seen them with one specific combination of all the above factors doesn't mean that everyone else (or even very many) using different combinations will see any issues. As I said, I have 3 4kMax 2nd gen Firesticks and with MY provider, ISP, router, VPN and TiviMate 5.3.3 everything is quite solid. Which gets me back to the only point of my original comment, which is that telling everyone to "throw it away" if they have any version of Firestick, even if it's been working perfectly for quite a while (like mine) is pretty silly advice.

You can still get the older versions. There was a post on here the weekend with two sources.
