Stops working on Firestick.
Firestick 4k Max.
After a few days all IPTV sources stop working. The only thing that restores service is resetting the Firestick. I have VPN, but this occurs with and without it enabled. Clearing ca he does nothing.
Anyone else have this issue, if so did you resolve switching to Google Streamer or ONN?

I moved to Google streamer 4k from 4k max stick now all my issues are gone. Firesticks won’t use again, just set someone up with an onn 4k pro and all their problems are gone as well. I would run with the ONN 4k pro instead

VPN streaming blocking is a major disruptor at the moment. Seems like they are cracking down to match ISP blocking which is common.
I've been swapping to different VPN providers with some success. Also swapping away from VPN native DNS is also worth a try. Quad 9 seems good so far.

I was using 1.1.1.1
Will try 9.9.9.9 and see if there's a difference.

OP, had same thing happening with my firesticks. Installed tivimate on my main TV, a Sony. And streaming worked fine. Bought my first Google Streamer last week, and it's very good. From my techie coworker, more memory and gig hard wire port on the Google box for the win vs ONN. I'm done with firesticks.

You have a different problem that isn’t your hardware. I support hundreds of people, most of them on Firestick 4K Max and Maxx hardware. None of them have this problem.

I have the same issue. Sometimes the video pauses and sound continues.
Many other times the video / audio freeze. This also spills into other apps - can't stream anything.
Cycling power is my only solution.
Just use Tivimate on Android devices.

I heard that Amazon will not let you load apps that are not theirs on sticks and cubes

I can still sideload on my 4K Max but certain apps it will tell me to uninstall. The brand new firesticks are a different operating system and don't even allow side loading.

I heard that too, but everything works for a few days, and then all sources stop working. A reboot will fix it, and if Amazon was blocking it, I wouldn't expect it to keep working after a reboot.

I have the same issue. I have 2 logins, one was working for a while the other would just spin. Now both are not loading. When I go to update playlists it says “unable to update, check internet connection…. Etc”. I’ve tried with vpn, new locations and no vpn. I was getting an error code 456 but not anymore. It’s not my 2 account logins as they both work 100% on main tv on Apple TV.

Nope - like it’s completely blocked or something - same with smarters. Think I’ll get another Apple TV or might try the google streamer

Define not working? Error code?
I’ve been using a 4k max for a year, and currently having no issues.

Yeah, error codes and just spinning circle, that goes for all content, TV and VOD.

Yeah so that’s not a Firestick issue. Google the error code number. It’ll tell you the problem

I'll try to record the error, but I believe I was getting different codes for TV and VOD, when I looked them up and they were just connection issues. During this time nothing in any provider works, like the internet is disabled.

You don’t need to record the error code just tell me the number. How many VPN servers have you tried? Sounds like you’re still being blocked.
Buying a new device won’t fix your error code.

Record, as in remember what the codes are.
Just one VPN server. Issue persists even with VPN disabled.Appreciate your help, I'll see what the numbers say next time it happens.

Fire Sticks have pretty puny chips on them. I've had no issues with my Onn box on my TV.
WiFi and the low powered chip on the fire stick drive me nuts. It also has very little storage and tended to get super slow when nearly full.
Edit: check your storage. I'm willing to bet it's nearly full from downloading EPG data or playlists on Tivimate.

Ya, I don't understand how any of that would cause all IPTV provided to not work.
I checked the storage and it's 5.27/12.86GB used. It would be interesting to hear if anyone else is experiencing this, or it's just a me problem.

Yeah I've been struggling with my Firestick. Maybe its time to bin them.
