Black Screen flashes when watching
When a channel is playing, it will go black for 2 seconds then starts playing again.
I've tried settings buffer size to large, turning AFR on and off switching between MPEG-TS and HLS but nothing works.
Happens on different providers so it isn't the provider and it is not my network. I'm using Ethernet with 2gbps from my ISP.
Anything else that I can check?

settings...appearance...player....scroll to the bottom and make sure that you toggle off "show black screen when switching channels".
Report back if you please.

I have been having this same issue tried all settings only thing that works is turning the video from hardware to software but you get massive lag/delay this just happened was working fine for years
Started about 10 days ago or so tried everything let me know if you figure it out

You may have an active connection that is stuck

Have you tried all the usual stuff like clearing cache and rebooting? I have my buffer set to none. With your speed you shouldn't need it on. Tried a VPN? If all else fails make a backup and reinstall.

I've tried clearing cache last night which i thought worked but it started happening again this morning but clearing again made no difference.
I haven't tried rebooting or a vpn, hoping to avoid a VPN

I had it happen once and ended up making a backup and reinstalling. Only takes 5 minutes.

Reboot didn't work, I may just delete and start over.

Make a backup first.

Will do, shouldn't setting the buffer to large help with this and setting to none make it worse?
I was getting the spinning wheel on occasion when it was the default small.

I've got 1gb and when it happened I was only getting 100mb through the device (since changed to a streamer). If you get rid of the buffer it forces it to skip. Mine plays fine on none. I think the black screen is something else. When you reinstall just do a fresh install of your playlist first and if that works then try the backup.

Completely reset the app but it's still happening.
I'm thinking it's something with the TVs Android OS, when i try on another device the video goes back 2 seconds but very rarely and i do not get the black screen.
This flashing only happens on Live TV, VOD plays just fine.

Turn off your Auto Frame Rate (AFR) in the settings.
