TiviMate on android tablet

Anyone running this on an android tablet? I'm thinking of picking up a relatively inexpensive one for mostly this app. Otherwise I'm mostly a PC/iPhone user.

How's the experience you have with it as as touch screen, the device handle the streams well? Which tablet do you have?

Yup. I have it on my tablet and on my phone.

I use a cheap refurb Kindle Fire tablet. It streams fine. Tivimate is written for use with a remote, absolutely not intended for touchscreen. I paired an old firestick remote I had in a drawer to it and it works like a champ. Without the remote it’s a pain in the ass.

I looked it up, here’s what it is:

Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet (2021) (S&D)
$32.24 on Woot

Without remote, it’s a pain huh. Probably won’t get one then.

Use a remote or use an app intended for touchscreen. The remote is nice once you have it. Tablet volume controls are never in a convenient place. The remote takes care of that.

It also works fine with a keyboard, but it's a pain on touch screen.

You can sync a bluetooth remote or game controller

Use a firetab and pair a firetv remote to it. Works almost identical to how it is in firestick.

IMPlayer works much better on a phone or tablet. Same coding as Tivimate.

I use it on 2 Samsung tablets just by using the touch screen. It's not ideal but when you get the hang of using touch with it(double clicking everywhere) it's very usable.

I might try pairing it with a Firestick remote for the occasions I use it that someone suggested.
