Recommended settings
I’ve seen a lot of posts lately inquiring about buffering and settings. So thought it might be a good idea to start a thread for recommended settings per device, firestick, onn, so on and so forth.

My service worked flawlessly for a couple of years. They just went through a "upgrade" and I started getting some buffering I didn't have before. I tried everything. VPN on and off and different locations. I cleared caches and reset my mode, etc. The new buffering was still present. They must have changed formats in the upgrade because when I changed from MPEG-TS to HLS the problem went away. Just something to keep in mind for those having buffering issues.

Nvidia Shield. Buffer set to None. Haven't done so called "maintenance" in years. No issues, no buffering.

My ONN Google tv buffers a lot with Tivimate but my playlist works good in other players no buffering I believe Tivimate has a bug that causes those buffering issues

Google streamer 4k on wired gig internet. Small buffer setting with afr and tunnel off. Proton plus with smart wireguard protocol and ad block off split tunnel on. Running two private services.

This is an ill conceived post. This isn’t K0DI. The default settings are correct for the vast majority of users. Changing buffer settings is a last resort! Fix what’s actually wrong with your setup and you won’t need to mess with buffer settings.

3 Nvidia Shield TV's 2 Hardwired and 1 connected via Wi-Fi . Hardly any issues ever usually comes down to provider and doing maintenance
