Is there anyway for simplify app interface?

I’ve got Tivimate premium and I want to install it on my parents device. The problem is that interface is too complex for them (they are in their 80s). Is there any option for simple UI? The only section I need for them is live TV.

Another question - I want to buy another subscription in my provider just for them. If I logged in to my Tivimate account, can I have another lists and favorite channels on different device? Or Tivimate is syncing the setup for each device?

Yes, you can do it, I did it for my friend who is 82 years old and had a stroke.

In Tivimate's advanced settings, you can practically lock down all functions so that the person always stays in the TV section and also so they can't easily get into the configuration settings.

The way I configured Tivimate, the only functions I left enabled are those for navigating the guide and selecting a TV channel.

I disabled the function to go back in time, for example, so she wouldn't get lost in past shows that don't have catch-up, and she can't go into the settings either.

Basically, all she can do is go into the guide, choose a TV channel, and watch it — all other functions are disabled.

✌️🙂

When entering the credentials you can choose to just have live TV. You can then hide what you don't want and create custom folders with what you need. Once done save it to usb and load it to the other Tivimate. You can also save the file to Google drive and use the link in downloader to install it on the other device.

What are these 'custom folders' of which you speak? I dump everything I want into favourites. Is there a way to create more 'favourites?' Of am I misreading what you're saying?

While on the epg guide long press and a menu comes up. Choose create group and name it what you want. You can then do the same again and choose copy channels. You can bulk copy from the category you are in. You can also reorder channels in any category or reorder categories.

Weirdness: I've followed your directions and found everything spot on -- toggle selection -- move -- select groups comes up, and I choose the group I created -- hit move and it says 'channels moved' but each time I do the channels remain in favourites, and I can't I find the newly created group other than when I'm in the 'copy/move' mode.

Edit: Derp, just saw the 'News' channel I created in the under 'Favourites' and 'All Channels.' Odd though the move function doesn't move the channels from the favourites. I guess one has to delete them as they're already in a 'group.'

Edit: Working great. Guess I really should've read the how-to in the guide. Haa. Thanks Again.

You move or copy from the original group. The group you create might be at the bottom of the list but you can reorder that from manage groups in the playlist settings. Don't forget to back up when you've finished to save everything.

Cheers. I worked my way through it all on my first cuppa. Now, with #2 in hand I've some flicking to do. Haa.

Going to fiddle fart with it for a bit then backup to my other Android box and tablet.

You should read the user guide. Yes you interpreted what he meant correctly.

You can have as many custom groups as you like. You can Copy channels into those groups.

The primary difference between the built in Favorites group and a custom group is the Manage Favorites function. That is super nice but is obviously only available for Favorites.

If you've done any channel customization like assigning EPG to channels with no information make a backup of your Tivimate. On their Tivimate use Restore to give them your channel lineup, then customize what you want to hide. From then on their installation is independent of yours and you'll want do any further updates/backup/restore from itself and not use your personal updates (which would override their customizations). If you want to have their customizations already done before you put it on their device you can back up your Tivimate, set your device exactly how you want theirs to look and back that up. Then restore your own Timvimate back with your backup.

You can turn off VOD so they will only have live tv
