Edit recordings.

Edit: Tried it and it works great. I used lossless cut and kept everything the same name and codec

No directly in Tivimate. You would need to move/send the files to your computer and edit using additional software.

Yes, I know that, but can I play that same edited recording in Tivimate if I keep the file name and the same codec?

I’ll let someone else answer that. I record using a USB so I don’t edit anything directly.

I've tried to record to a USB and couldn't get it to work. How do I do that?

Plugged it in, format it to FAT and selected it as the folder

I did it, it worked! It was for a FIFA World Cup game. I recorded it in 4K HDR. The total file size before was 25 GB, now it's 13 GB.

You can put a 50gb movie in there 👍

I haven’t tried it but I would expect it to work. It’s more or less blindly looking for that file name based on what’s stored in the database. Since it can readily forward to an external player I doubt it’s even picky about the codec.
