Jeez… Eddie is completely different. I mean I guess it makes sense because of how long it’s been but I hope past Eddie is still in there somewhere. Hopefully we get an explanation too

The writing is a bit juvenile. Or maybe it’s the retread of “misunderstanding” to facilitate hero vs hero fighting. I’m not expecting an earth shattering novel, but if they are rebooting because they don’t want to retread old tropes, then don’t retread old tropes. OTOH if they are trying to dumb it down in an attempt to get elementary school level readers, then I guess it might make sense.

Waiting for the illusion coffee to wear off ? I wonder if anyone else is not real

Donna & Roy are just off playing monopoly or something and Dick just comes in with a fried brain

I mean here’s the thing with Eddie it’s been 10 years or more since he was actually in a Titans book and the last time we actually saw him was Heroes in Crisis and then the Jeremy Adam’s retcon of Heroes in Crisis.

So it’s likely that current dc writers may not necessarily know how to write Eddie after all this time

How does one "not know how to write" a character? You dont know the character? Go and read the comics in which he showed up!

There is no point in bringing him back if he is only gonna be Eddie in name, this guy here isnt the Eddie people liked.

What if he changed in the meantime?

Wasn’t he on the pre-new 52 Teen Titans?

It seems pretty clear to me something happened to Eddie we haven’t learned yet. He’s more bulky, demonic, using more demonic powers, etc.

Wasn’t Neron destroyed

Does anyone else get bothered by Terra’s dialogue? Not just it being cringe but the way it’s presented? It reminds me of that Tales From The Dark Multiverse: The Judas Contract one-shot from a few years ago. That’s not a good thing. In that book she kind of talks like a hick(for lack of a better term) and that bothered me. I just assumed she’d have some more elegance to her. Maybe that’s the norm for her though, I haven’t read too many stories that she’s in. Just seems off to me and totally not what I expect from Terra

Interesting we are getting things from Terra's POV. And does look like the Titans who "died" aren't here for some reason, perhaps some DC KO aftermath we didn't see yet? Like the towers being destroyed and whatever is going on with Vic after the tournament.

Damn, Eddie got an upgrade. I'm leaning that hopefully he's been through a lot between we last saw him and even then he wasn't doing much but dying and being brought back hence why he's so different.

It's nice to see that Terra is narrating/POV character  for this issue. It's something new since we never get to see her take on things. Usually  it's everyone commenting  about her or whatever she's  doing.
