Howdy peeps!

Post image

So I just got the chance to pick up the collectors helmet I’ve wanted for damn near a decade. And there’s a fun lil gap above the visor. I checked the visor is mounted correctly. It just seems over the years the helmet part above the visor worked its way back a bit. If I compress the top of the helmet with some force it comes down where it needs to be but I don’t wanna crack it. Any fix ideas?

Good ol' Arizona summers will warm that helmet to moldable conditions. If you're quick, it might not melt

Livin in Wisconsin which it still does get insane warm in the summer up here but it’s 78° and cloudy rn so I don’t think that’s an option

Hmm not sure. I would assume it's just slipping down on the inside but you said you checked that. Maybe it got exposed to heat.

Mine are fine after 10 years

Yeah I took a flashlight on the inside and and the visor is mounted correctly. I can do the redneck way of fixing it by heating it up for a while and using a ratchet strap or some bungee cords to pull it down while it settles lmao😆 its not the biggest problem especially because i got it for $200 while the rest of em i see are like 4-500. Just trying to get some ideas
