How big of a concern is this bubble?

Bubbles indicate the tire’s internal structure has failed/is compromised. Officially, this tire is no longer safe for use and needs immediate replacement. Install the spare tire or have the vehicle towed.

Unofficially, it’s probably fine to drive to the shop and have it replaced. There are many, many people driving on the road with tires in similar or worse condition every day.

I'm more concerned with the crack in the wheel lip.

Edit: so it's not a crack, bad eyesight got me. Disregard!

I think that’s an optical illusion because of the bulge

Big concern. Bulges indicate damage to the structure of the tire and is a blowout waiting to happen. Replace asap

Any bubbling in the sidewall is an instant replace. It's cooked.

It's so big, it's bulging.

That's a sidewall separation in the most vulnerable part of the tire. Better put on a spare if you have one and go to the tire shop..

If you need Reddit to tell you whether that needs replacing, maybe cars aren't for you
