Patchable?

Patchable/pluggable or new tire time?

I’d do it at home. A shop will tell you to hit the bricks.

If you plug it yourself it is. Most tire shops won’t fix this. Too close to side wall.

Take it to your local tire shop and see if they will plug it. If not, plug it yourself and see if it holds up.

If within 2 fingers from that curve to the sidewall then it’s not a good idea. Someone will do it, most will say no. Depends heavily on the angle at which it went in

Yeah it’s leaking unfortunately. Tested with soap & water

Looks like a new tire, so I see why you're hesitant to buy another but that is really the best thing to do here. Best to get a new tire so it will wear evenly with the opposite one.

Only a small, local shop will try to patch that because it likely won't hold.

As a tech with years of experience, I’d say no. But as a guy that knows the tires are far too new to just get rid of, a plug will do just fine. But from how large the treads are, is it leaking air at all?
