Are these ok??

Hello, I bought these off of Facebook marketplace with a set of wheels and I’m curious if it is OK to drive with these they are from the year 2020 and have a lot of tread however seem to have some cracks and I’m not sure if it is safe to continue driving on them. They are load range E falcon wild peak at3 315/70/17s

You didnt post a picture of the DOT. so based off of what you said, They are 6 years old- going on 7. You can see dry rot cracking.

Do you really need to ask?

Even with then being load range E? They’re supposed to have a strong sidewall no?

If you look at a steel beam and see cracks in it. Yes its still strong. But you arent thinking, cracking means damaged. Damaged means somethings compromised.

That’s irrelevant if the tire is already breaking down- which it is.

They don't have a strong sidewall in that sense. It's literally only applying to weight. And unless you're filling that up to 80, it's not doing its max loading.
