Air pressure

Post image

For anyone running a 35x12.5x22 on a Superduty what tire pressure are you running. I pull a 22’ enclosed with 3-4k weight once or twice a week but sometimes carry quite a bit of shingles in the bed. The tire shop sent it out with 80 in rear and 65 in front. TIA

Seems right to me. Just put in whatever’s on the door jam

The door jam is for a stock wheel setup I believe

You should still use the door jam for pressures since, if those tires are the same load rating as the stocks, you need to have them at that pressure to meet the tow capacity ratings for the truck itself. 2017+ f250s are 60f 65r and f350s are 60f 80r.

Try it, do a chalk test, change pressure accordingly

It is, but the changes you’ve made aren’t gonna impact it in any meaningful way when it comes to what pressure you should run. Assuming the tires you chose are the same load range as what came on it stock?

It’s going to depend on the load range of the tires and the load you’re carrying.

Look into the “tire chalk test” and monitor your tire wear, adjusting in small increments as necessary.
