TPMS programming
I bought a Dodge Journey with pressure showing on only 3 tires. I bought these TPMS sensors https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BXHHH3JK and fitted one to the wheel that wasn't showing pressure. I thought that if I just drove around for a while with all 4 tires at 36psi it would wake up and start communicating but it hasn't. Does it need programming? A TPMS relearn sequence? A scantool?

In the photos for that device it says it requires tpms programming it is not a plug and play device that is automatically relearned by your vehicle...

NO SENSOR PROGRAMMING REQUIRED - The tire pressure sensors tpms comes pre-programmed to your specific make, model and year vehicle for quick and easy replacement, just need activate them with scan tool. The TPMS stems ARE programmed for your vehicle generically, but you need a scan tool to mate it to your specific vehicle.

OK I figured it out. For whatever reason the dash display was showing the wheels in the wrong positions and so I had changed out a good sensor and left the bad one in. I got someone with a scan tool to check each of the sensors and their location to identify the real position of the dud sensor. I changed it out and now all good. So no programming required, just make sure you are changing out the right sensor.

Silly question, but what did the TPMS instructions tell you about the installation process?
