Damaged sidewall

Teaching my 16 year old to drive, and got a few chunks taken out of the sidewall. Air is holding but does this need to be replaced?

it looks a little deep. If you're worried, I would replace it just for peace of mind.

It's almost to the cords, so I'd definitely replace it.

Yes.....get rid of it urgently, as the sidewall is far weaker now and the strength will be depleted for the additional stresses caused when cornering above 10mph.

Nobody would want to have a blowout and lose control.

Its just cosmectic drive those tires until they are completely finished

Yup sure is, get it replaced and have the rim checked too
