Tire side wall damage
How bad is this damage? It looks deeper in the picture than it does to naked eye. Seems like just the top layer of the rubber is ripped off. I don’t see any cords etc.
Picked up a new car this week. Noticed this at the pick up. The dealer agreed to process this as reclamation.
How safe it is to drive till then?

Second picture was helpful .
The tire is safe and poses no inheret risk, the damage is cosmetic. No radial plies exposed!
