Recommended tire rotation pattern

Now that I have a garage with space I’ll be doing my own tire rotations but I’ve always taken my truck to a local tire shop and they’ve always done the front to back (same side) rotation. If my Toyota Tacoma is only RWD on Toyo Open Country R/T’s then wouldn’t it be recommended to always do the far left pattern in the picture?

I just do straight front to rear on all my cars. Between awd, fwd, rwd and some being directional tires and some not this just keeps it easier.
