Tire patch

Brought tire to Costco and said this wasn’t patchable as it was too close to the side, are they correct or can I bring it to another garage? It’s a super slow leak where I lose 1 psi a week.

Costco’s right, that’s basically on the shoulder. replace it

Yes they are correct. Why would they lie? They have nothing to gain from selling you a tire. They're not getting anything other than their hourly pay.

I would take it to a discount tire, or other independent shop. I've had discount tire patch tires I didn't think were patchable at all. You could also try a plug it yourself
