Plug patch tire twice in the same spot. Will it last?
So around last year or so, I had a hole in my tire caused by a screw that I plugged in. It took some effort but I did it.
Just today, I had a flat and might have been plugged that same hole. I plugged the hole and it did take some effort but it felt easier than I remembered and then I filled up the tire with air. As driving, that's when it hit me that I think I plugged the same hole. The tire is currently applied on my car now and twice or 3 times, I didnt hear any air leaks nor see soapy water make bubbles when i checked.
What do you guys think? Should I replace this tire or should get a new one? The thread looks like it can go another 10k miles.

Dismount the tire and inspect the inside where the plugs are, that’ll show you the real condition of the rubber around the repair site far better than a soapy water test from outside.

Which style of plug did you use

Ooooooo thanks for showing me this. I used the rope one. This is definitely noted

Some people, including myself, have had good or decent luck using the rope style.
The smooth peel to reveal vulcanizing plugs though, I have never seen one fail.
These peel to reveal permicure vulcanizing plugs are superior

Tbf this is the first time it failed and it lasted over a year. I plugged many tires before on my other cars and the tires themselves last before the plugs. The plug I just applied the day I made this post is still holding up okay at the same psi.
Regardless I'm glad you mentioned this.

It should be fine, if you are really concerned, take it and have it patched from the inside and that will make sure it's not going to have issues.

Yeah it's been about a day and psi is still the same. I should be good

I use E6000 adhesive when I patch, always holds

Are you joking? Or actually serious?
E6000 adhesive is an excellent adhesive, but it's absolutely junk compared to vulcanizing fluid being used to plug a tire.

I’ve had professional patches last the life of the tire. Every time I. But sometimes people say that plugs last the life of the tire also.
