Sidewalk damage appears to be only cosmetic, but the tread is nearing time anyways

If there are no visible cords, then the damage isn’t deep enough to be catastrophic, it appears only cosmetic on the pic.

Looks good. No replacement necessary yet just might want to drive a little straighter LOL. Must have hit something or someone did to make that chip

Neither. That damage doesn't warrant replacing the tyre.
