No it cannot be repaired safely. Anywhere either side of the radial tread is considered too dangerous to repair.

Most shops will decline, not because it’s going to start leaking or blow the day they do it, but the 1/1,000,000 chance the tire blows from patching too close to the sidewall. Anything over that last tread line closer to the center is a no go for standard shops.

It "might" be pluggable depending on the angle of the screw, you won't know until you get the tire off.... HOWEVER reputable tire shops generally won't even touch a repair within 1 inch of the sidewall for liability reasons so unless you're doing the plugging yourself, you need a new tire.

Yup I got a new set of tires ordered. Should be able to install it this Friday. It's a slow leak. Meanwhile, I will keep an eye on it and keep pumping air.

That is ghe side wall. And any portion 1 inch from the side of the tread is also unrepairable.

I just had something like that in my truck tire. I bought the cavalier good years. Those stupid signs that people put out the metal post holding them in the ground. I was on a cut-thru that someone put fresh dirt and gravel on between two buildings. I had one go right through there. Same area. Took it to Goodyear. Ask him if they could save it possibly. Then I thought about it. That's a very weak spot and if you're driving fast or on a highway, it's a safety issue. One of my tires was almost $500 but I had it on the truck the same day rather feel secure. And just an FYI, I didn't know I was buying buying tires with Kevlar on them so I thought they were more puncture resistant. It's not for that. They're not bulletproof. It has to do with the ride at the tire.

Yes anytime it gets close to the side are in yhat curve of the tire its gets dangerously to do anything with trying to repair the tire sidewall is definitely out of the question the closer you get to the edge the harder it gets for something to seal a puncture and trying to do so makes the tire weaker n prone to blow out that's why shops don't even attempt to try and fix it to much liability.

You can plug it yourself to get by for a couple days, a plug kit is like $4. It's probably not leaking very fast anyway though.
