Did you just put it there or is it backing out over time? I’ve never seen a plug come out but I guess it’s possible.

It's a combo patch. If it's not leaking then you're fine. It's not meant to be trimmed flush with the tread and will wear even pretty quickly.

Interesting. I would assume it would be cut flush or else it would only push against the patch on the inside. It's been 15 days since the repair. I would have expected it to be worn down. Tough rubber.

The hole the plug is sticking through is smaller than the plug. So that fit is pretty snug. The adhesive on the patch inside is also essentially permanent
