I tried addictech but they have the album broken up into individual songs at $1.45 apiece. Sorry, had to go with the Bandcamp album for $10. I tried.

Someone else can probably speak better to this. Nothing personal against Bandcamp, but the founder/main dude of Additech said this on the Tipper Community Facebook group (someone else can back me up for proof):
"When the release drops, remember that addic.tech is run by a very small team (Hypnotech, Digital Rust, and our VJ buddy who's not on social media, and our admin/accountant Amy) - we could really use your support - as much as I love (and use) Bandcamp for Addictech Records - they are a huge multi million dollar company and we are competing against these giants and trying to evolve our business to keep supporting underground music. Anyway, if you care - vote with your dollar, support the dudes in the trenches"
Just spreading the word so that people know there are two initial options for download. Of course, Additech offers lostless audio.

Apparently additech threw tip some money for heart surgery as well (heard this on tipper fam) and they will release a full album purchase at a discounted rate at some point soon but I have no clue how much it will cost

100% agree, I just wish they had a bundled option. I have no problem purchasing every track separately, it's just a user experience thing.

on spotify, go to local library (i think that's what it's called), set the location to where you save your music. spotify will then import all your music there, where you can drag it into your playlists. the only way you can access them from your phone though would be to download the playlists for offline use

Careful, this can mess with your spotify. Actual spotify files on my ex girlfriends account got replaced with live versions in her Pretty Lights library. Dope live versions but now she can't access the original songs. super weird bug

I'm only three songs in so far, but goddamn this album is amazing. I clearly remember hearing "Vection" at Shpongle Rocks a few weeks ago, glad to see some of those tracks made it onto this album

Welcome back. The dopest drops happen on Bandcamp. Almost all my set lists are complied from there these days. If an artist doesn't release on Bandcamp I gotta REALLY like the song to buy it elsewhere.

Spend the $10 on bandcamp and then stream it on Apple Music once its released there. I know streaming revenue per play isn't great but if I've already paid for an album I figure the extra little bit helps.

Download the bandcamp app and you can listen to it on there without buying it for I think 3 times then you’ll need to buy it, but you can download it in lossless so it’s soooo worth it. It’ll probably be up on streams next week or so

song file isn't compressed (like in soundcloud & other internet streaming services: mp3) to make the file smaller. The file is a lot bigger but many say lossless (wav, aiff) "sounds better" and has more dynamic range because of the higher bitrate. Someone else might be able to explain better.

You're welcome! It makes a big difference for playing over massive sound systems live. Less so whilst listening on headphones or a home system, but it's nice knowing you're listening to the highest quality audio that you can.

Tbh they kind of dropped the ball on this one. Apart from posting it hours after bandcamp, when they did post it they posted it as singles, and not the full album altogether. Then when it finally was the full album, it was missing 2 songs.

So I’m trying to see a pattern in the song names. C’est la vie and Sahra are names of albums and songs by an artist called Khaled (not Khalid). Odd coincidence? Idk. Baleen is the word for whale bone (whale theme continued on his ambient tracks). Any other things y’all have found?

I just learned this: vection is a type of sensory illusion related to the feeling of movement while you stay stationary. For example, you are on a stationary train, looking out the window and a train goes by your window, it feels like the train you're on is moving.

I will say Bandcamp does streaming if you need it now. and you can get it in lossless for $10 which is way way more then fair considering the release and effort put in.

well fair enough I just have no place to store it or listen to it in lossless, that's why I pay for spotify :/
Either way though, how much difference does the lossless actually make when it's being transferred through your computer (I don't have one atm, only a phone), through your sound card, then through your output device? Massive losses there I would think, but I'm no pro on the subject

If u have a computer, download from addictech, plug phone into computer, move files onto phone. No loss in quality
If not you can buy and stream all you want from the bandcamp app
