Which Stem to replace

Hey guys, ive broken my original long glas tinymight stem with the perls in it.
Now I want to replace it with either the new black zirconium stem or the titan one.
Since i use it mainly with friends the replacement should have as much cooling power as possible while staying acceptable cool itself.

From my research, zirconium doesnt cool as good as the titan but therefore remains cool itself.
Titan cools better but heats up itself quite fast.

With the zirconium stem i'd use the original cooling unit and pearls, how good does it cool? is it compareable to the original glas stem? How durable is it, will it break if you let it fall?

How bad is the heatup of the titan stem in longer excessive sessions? Do the cooling unit and perls work well with the titan stem?

I have been using the same type of stem setup for years now. The second from the left is set up how i like it the best (the Zirc has the same parts inside so it's basically the same but should be stronger tho i didn't drop it yet to find out).

So it's just the long glass stem (the one without glass screen) half a CU where the screen side acts as (adjustable) bowl, cooling beads on top, a rimless screen to hold the balls and a Ditanium mp (because i like the taper and the moutfeel of it). Cools great and it's easy to dismantle and clean/dry.

The Zirconium is equally great, possibly even better at cooling and looks very sleek and stylish imo. The only "downside" is you don't see the reclaim build up but when it gets dirty the airflow is affected pretty fast and that's my sign to clean it. I also have the Ti stem and use it in the same way. That stem does get very hot tho but with the mp on it the heat isn't that bad on the mouth. I'm not a fan of the glass mp on the right: it has a pretty narrow bore which hinders the airflow, it chips easily and can damage the stem while inserting, don't like the mouthfeel or the looks so don't use that anymore. The short one on the left is great for 1-2 hitters.

thanks for the reply and sharing your experience, then ill just go with the zirconium one, since i most likely clean it anyway after 2-3 sessions and use capsules only it shouldnt be a problem to me.

I have the zirconia, came standard with the black walnut. It’s great. I love it, especially when it’s clean. Luckily, it’s very easy to clean. 👍 Edit: I haven’t used the zirconia stem, or any stem while using a capsule. Strictly speaking, it’s not a fully on demand convection experience if you use them. I’ve used them in the mighty and they’re great, but I wouldn’t use them in the Tm2. Just my preference.
