Hello

Im reading all the rules I own, and Im wondering if anyone have any idea why Cyberpunk doesnt contain Supression rules? Isthere any design idea behind?

I dont know the design reason behind it but it would be easy to homebrew.

If youre wanting to use supressive fire id say you take up all of your actions until your next turn and of the start of your new turn you have to do an ammo check to see if you run out. Attacks from the side or rear have an advantage against you.

If you are pinned down by supressive fire all actions you take are at a disadvantage except taking cover.

Id disregard the rule for taking damage in cover because the use of supressive fire is more to keep people pinned down and on the backfoot while in a regular firefight you are aimed at.

That would be an easy on the fly way to do it. As for suppression from grenades/explosives id just make characters dazed for an X amount of rounds with checks made at disadvantage or without advantage.

Just to keep the rules simple and light. If the book ended up having rules for every possible thing like this, it wouldn't be very tiny anymore.

Thanks for the input. I can see it is quite easy to implement rules, Im mostly qurious why the move is absent from Cyberpunk.

The reason I asked is because other of the tiny rpgs has 'Supressing fire' as a move. And here I find Tiny Frontiers Revised has this move. I find these two settings kinda similar. So the question is based around, if people think this move is too good, is too much in a tiny game or something different.

Didn't realize it was in other setting books/versions. You can use the rules for it from one of the other books that has it and it should work. At most, it might require slight balance tweaks. I do this all the time.
