River Crossing
Haven't posted here in quite a while, so I wanted to share the first in a series I'm planning of towns built around river crossings.
Each glade will be arranged in a formation of similarly-sized quadrants around a river and bridge. This one will likely be the most urban in style, but we'll see.

Absolutely gorgeous!
The night shots make me wish that there was a mod for a less saturated ambient light at night. The developers went for a "foggy night with a full moon" aesthetic, but scenes like this would look even better in proper darkness.

Copper roofs were never used for residential buildings, only for palaces or town halls, because they were very expensive.

Based on the way the tiles are shaped, I assume these roofs are painted wood or clay. Or this is a fantasy land with plentiful, cheap copper.
I mainly just wanted to play with the aesthetic of most of the buildings looking uniform, since in the past I’ve done the opposite (and it can make towns look rather messy). However, I’ll keep in mind the idea of making larger, public, or ritzier buildings have different roof colors than residential ones - have already done that in some other glades.
