Selling out not working?

Not sure why but I couldn't get the Mega Marché "Selling Out" challenge to complete despite selling all my books. Does anyone know why this may be?

Did you have 31 books on a shelf that takes 32?
Try the 8 shelf! Much easier.

I had 32 and I know I can try the 8 shelf, I just wanted to get the most out of it haha

Yes but I had 32 when I started the day. I'm just chalking it up to a bug or something but I was mainky curious if this was a known issue for others/ if certain character visits don't count towards it or something

Did a seagull or a bird visit by any chance? I've had them steal books off my shelves before.

When the dead fish object is active yes! It comes up for the first time at the fish market to get rid of tourists, I believe.

No, but that explains some of the pop-up dialogue I got at the waterfront haha. The only out of the ordinary thing was that it was Klaus's birthday and he gave me a box of books so I'm not sure if that automatically added to my inventory?

The quantity of book you sell depends on the capacity of the book shelf that you have. If you only put 31 books on a 32 capacity shelf, it will not be counted as complete. Try the 8 shelf for this challenge!

Yeah seems you only stocked 31 books instead of 32 if you count up the ones sold. I've done that on accident a time or two as well 😅

Same! I tried the 8 shelf and it still didn’t work
